ROMEO's REPEAT

Romeo's Repeat
Repeat's success as a work horse in the steep and rugged coastal areas and the western fall of the Northern Tablelands coupled with his enormous success as a competition horse in these and many other districts is testament to his selection. Repeat wasn’t just a show horse; he earned his living working day in day out in some of the roughest cattle country one could imagine. He was used as a lead horse for the breakers and if time permitted given a wash on Friday afternoon before loading for a draft or show on the weekend.

Repeat is a TRUE Australian Stock Horse.

In the show ring, he won many Led and Champion Led Classes. From a 3-year old he was never beaten in a Working class culminating in his win as the ASH National Champion Working Stallion.

In his career he won:
  • Far North Coast branch ASHS 4-Year old Maturity
  • ASH National Campdraft Championships Stallion Draft
  • Warwick Gold Cup Stallion Draft
  • Barnes Trophy
In addition to, 16 Open Drafts, numerous Junior, Juvenile, Encouragement and Ladies drafts, 8 cut outs (Including the Gundy Championships Junior Cutout in a 3 round runoff) along with over 60 placings in very limited showings.
Repeat has proved to be not just a great stallion but more importantly a GREAT SIRE.
He is the sire of ACA Novice and Open Horse of the year “Deep Creek Response,” in 2009 he sired the winner of the Maiden, Novice and Encouragement drafts at Walcha Golden Gate Campdraft (noted to be the Warwick of the south).

His success as a sire in Baymak’s operation is second to none. He has sired such great horses as:
  • “Baymak Refine” Winner of the ASHS Futurity at NSW State Championships at South Grafton by 17 points, won a Maiden on her first start. She is the dam of Vic Gough’s great Buckskin mare “Baymak Finnesse.”

  • “Baymak Request” 8 campdraft starts for 3 wins, 3 places and 2 finals.

  • “Baymak Reanna” Open Mare with subsequent wins and placings in Ladies, Encouragements and Juvenile drafts. Reanna is also a proven broodmare.
  • “Baymak Reminisce” Open mare that is a consistent winner and placegetter and a proven broodmare.
  • “Baymak Response” Campdraft winner and proven broodmare.

  • “Baymak Delight” (by Mick Wards Commando out of “Baymak Response”) Draft winner and has now joined our broodmare band.
